Cairns Physiotherapy Treatment

Your quality of life is our priority

Non-invasive Physiotherapy

Our physiotherapy services aim to help individuals recover from injuries, alleviate pain and improve overall physical function

AG Physio believe that no person should live life in pain or discomfort. Our non-invasive treatments are innovative and professional, focusing on restoring your movement and relieving pain. We will work with you to remove muscular, joint and nerve symptoms, getting you back to optimum health and wellbeing.

Our physiotherapists understand that pain and injury can have a huge impact on your life, and we pride ourselves on the care we take to turn your situation around. We take a hands-on approach to your treatment using a wide variety of manual skills and extensive knowledge of exercise therapy. It is these techniques that will help you recover from either acute or chronic injuries.

We also understand that injuries or conditions can prevent you from coming to our centre. We still want you to be able to receive the best possible treatment in these circumstances and for that reason, we offer home visits, bringing our innovative and holistic treatment to you.

Aquatic Physiotherapy

AG Physio offers the specialised service of Aquatic Physiotherapy.  This service is not just general hydrotherapy; this is targeted exercise therapy utilising the very unique properties of water, such as its pressure, buoyancy/resistance and the ability to vary weight-bearing load via depth.   Too often, the only way water is used is to repeat land exercises in the water.

Our Aquatic Physiotherapy uses a variety of positions and movements to target the area/s you require assistance with, whether it be gaining range, growing strength, improving balance or re-gaining skills such as running.  Anything that can be treated on land can be treated in the water; sometimes with more success, for example, recovery post-surgery, pain and challenging balance work.  We use heated pools, bringing warmth on board to help with relaxing tight areas as you move.  For a three-dimensional, highly sensory environment, water is second to none, all the better if you know how to use it.

Jude Perrett is our lead Aquatic Physiotherapist.  Having worked in the water since 2008, she completed post-graduate study with the International Aquatic Therapy Foundation in Switzerland in 2013 and upskills the physiotherapists working as Aquatic Physiotherapists at AG Physio, including in Halliwick Therapy.

Our Aquatic sessions are half-hour, one-on-one physiotherapy consultations.  A pool entry fee is payable. Please contact the clinic to discuss pool and time options.
